I had taken most of this week off from work to get some things done around the house and for some rest. Most of my things were done so I decided to go for a run. I had not run in about four years and have recently started again to get back in shape like I was when I was in the Marine Corps. The latter part may not happen but I enjoy my runs in nature anyway. Today I went for a run and for the first time in a long time, I was at peace. My mind was enjoying the scenery. The fresh air circulating in my lungs and I had no care in the world just enjoying that moment.
Peace!!!
Good for you! I KNOW for a fact that I will never again be in the shape that I was when I served – the old knee joints just don’t have it in them anymore. Aaaahhh . . . but there was a time when I was one, bad MF. Haha! Now, I dearly enjoy my walks in nature – such a balm for the soul.
I hope you got home okay Frank 😉
Peace inside and outside.. Beautiful! : )

Such important moments. I enjoy my walks in the woods each day as it gives me time to reflect.
